Fund for Teachers Opens Grant Application
Fund for Teachers supports educators’ efforts to develop skills, knowledge and confidence that impact student achievement. By trusting teachers to design unique fellowships, Fund for Teachers grants validate teachers’ professionalism and leadership, as well. Since 2001, Fund for Teachers has invested $33.5 million in nearly 9,000 teachers, transforming grants into growth for teachers and their students.
The Fund for Teachers awards fellowships to pre-K-12 classroom teachers, in public, private, and charter schools, so that they may participate in training and enriching activities that will improve and enhance their skills and capacities as teachers.
Applicants must intend to continue teaching in the consecutive school year.
Applicants must have a minimum of three years’ teaching experience and be full-time teachers spending at least 50% of their time in the classroom at the time grants are approved and made.
Eligible applicants may apply as individuals (funding limit of $5,000) or as a team (funding limit of $10,000).
